Our client is seeking Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors specializing in Electrical trade packages.

Key Responsibilities & Scope- Quantity Surveyor – Electrical (QS & SQS)

Depending on your level of seniority (QS or Senior QS), you will take commercial ownership of key Electrical subcontract packages throughout the project lifecycle:

  • Subcontract Administration: Commercial management of electrical trade packages (HV, LV, Power Generation, BMS, Substation, Commissioning) from contract award through to final account close-out.

  • Valuations & Cost Control: Measure completed site works, verify subcontractor payment applications, analyze variation build-ups, and maintain accurate cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

  • Variations & Change Management: Evaluate, negotiate, and substantiate change orders, claims, delay impacts, and variation accounts with subcontractors.

  • Tender & Scope Assessment: Analyze electrical scope boundaries, commercial bid evaluations, quotation normalization, and subcontractor selection.

  • Senior Level Leadership (SQS): Supervise junior commercial team members, lead package commercial strategy, manage contractual notices, and represent the commercial function in project governance meetings.

Experience & Qualification Requirements

  • Experience Required:

    • Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS): A minimum of 10+ years of relevant quantity surveying or commercial management experience within construction, including at least 2+ years leading or supervising junior commercial staff.

    • Quantity Surveyor (QS): 3 to 7+ years of commercial / quantity surveying experience within a main contractor, EPC, or specialist trade contractor environment.

  • Technical Specialism: Direct commercial background managing Electrical / High Voltage / Power Distribution / BMS / ELV trade packages.

  • Sector Background: Prior experience on complex data centre, semiconductor, biopharmaceutical, cleanroom, or heavy M&E infrastructure projects is advantageous.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
