SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (FREELANCE) | NICE, FRANCE

LUXURY RESIDENTIAL | 3-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Stafford Lawrence is retained by a leading international construction consultancy to identify a Freelance Senior Project Manager for a prestigious luxury villa development in Nice, France. This is a comprehensive, full-lifecycle appointment acting on behalf of our client as the primary interface between the High-Net-Worth Individual, the Professional Team, and the Contractor.

THE ROLE & OVERARCHING SERVICES

      • Contract Administration: Act as the designated Contract Administrator under the Building Contract, issuing instructions and managing all formal project communications.

      • Project Governance: Establish and maintain robust procedures for Design, Procurement, and Construction, including chairing all principal project meetings and managing the Change Control process.

      • Full Lifecycle Management: Lead the project through all phases, from the initial Preparation & Brief (developing requirements and selecting the team) through to Construction and Final Handover.

      • Construction Oversight: Conduct a minimum of 3 site visits per week to monitor progress, quality, and Health & Safety compliance.

      • Financial & Risk Control: Maintain the Project Risk Register, oversee monthly Cash Flow Forecasts, and review payment applications in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor.

THE REQUIREMENTS for the Senior Project Manager Nice, France

  • Sector Expertise: Significant experience within the Luxury Residential / High-End Villa sector is essential.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to manage complex Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) integration, Audio Visual, lighting, and specialist trades.

  • Language Skills: Anglais et Français courants. Ability to manage French Local Authority approvals (Planning, Building Control, etc.).

  • Professional Status: Candidates must be registered as a freelancer in France (Auto-Entrepreneur / Profession Libérale).

  • Right to Work: You must hold a valid and current Right to Work in France.

  • Preference for candidates who are located in the NICE area. Our client does not provide travel or acccomodation on top of the day rate below

REMUNERATION

  • Contract Duration: 3-Year Fixed Term Freelance Contract (with the Construction Consultancy).

  • Rate: €550 – €750 per day (All-in).

  • Working Pattern: 18 days per calendar month
