This consultancy is renowned for delivering some of the most iconic cultural landmarks globally. In addition to a premium portfolio of UK-based projects, this role offers the unique opportunity to support major, high-profile Museum developments in the Middle East, managed directly from the London office.

The Role

Based in London with flexible hybrid working options, you will take a senior lead role on landmark museum fit-out and cultural exhibition projects. This position requires an expert commercial eye capable of balancing complex, highly bespoke architectural designs with robust cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-to-end pre- and post-contract cost management,as well as complex estimating, and detailed cost-planning for specialist cultural schemes.

  • Act as the primary client face, collaborating closely with curators, specialist design consultants, and international stakeholders.

  • Manage high-value, bespoke interior fit-out contracts, ensuring precision in procurement and specialist vendor selection.

  • Provide strategic leadership within the London team, mentoring junior staff and managing workloads effectively.

Candidate Requirements for the Vacancy of Associate Quantity Surveyor London

Our client has set a strict benchmark for this specialist appointment. To be considered, candidates must satisfy ALL of the following criteria:

  • Education: A formal Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a closely related construction discipline.

  • Professional Status: MRICS Chartered Status is highly desirable for this position.

  • Experience Baseline: Circa 10 years of post-degree experience working within a recognized, reputable Cost Consultancy / PQS organization.

  • Sector Specialism: Proven track record of delivering Museum fit-outs or Cultural Exhibition projects within the United Kingdom. (Please note: Generic residential or commercial experience will not be accepted for this specific role).

  • Technical Prowess: Strong, demonstrable expertise in intricate pre-contract estimating as well as bespoke cost-planning.
