The Role of the Senior Cost Consultant London Consultancy

Operating from their modern London office with excellent hybrid flexibility, you will be handed the reins to manage your own project portfolio from inception to completion. This role sits in a highly professional yet relaxed atmosphere. This role will lead client-facing meetings and manage stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-to-end pre- and post-contract cost management services across a diverse urban portfolio.

  • Act as the direct client interface, coordinating project delivery from initial feasibility through to final accounts.

  • Take accountability for robust cost reporting, contract administration, and procurement advice.

  • Provide active mentorship and support to less senior members of the team and APC candidates.

  • Collaborate from time to time on European projects alongside their primary UK-based delivery schemes.

Candidate Requirements

This vacancy is ideally suited for an established Quantity Surveyor looking to confidently step up into a Senior bracket. Or a current Senior QS seeking a better work-life balance and a healthier company culture.

  • Background: Proven cost consultancy experience as a Quantity Surveyor , PQS with a recognized consultancy organization.

  • Sector Experience: A solid track record in a combination of the following sectors: Mixed-Use Commercial, Residential, Education, Office Fit-Out, Healthcare, or Civils.

  • Education: A formal Degree qualification such as a BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or an RICS-accredited equivalent.

  • Professional Status: MRICS status is highly desirable but not essential, provided you are actively structured and working towards your APC ,full training and mentoring will be provided.

  • Right to Work: Candidates must possess a current, valid right to live and work in the United Kingdom. Please note: Our client is unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.

  • Location: Ideally based in or looking to relocate to the London area.
